Here is the bell..It was cast it Ohio, It was last used on a blueberry farm in NH. They used it for years to scare the birds away. I will attach this bell to an open trailer and pull it behind my Honda.

An acoustic cross-country adventure. If a bell rings in a shopping mall parking lot, will anyone respond? On September 1, 2006, I set out on a cross-country, sound-performance journey to investigate the public's interactions with and reactions to the sonorous tones of a 250-pound cast-iron bell. From Michigan to New York to San Francisco, I am ringing the bell in small towns, city parks, shopping malls, rest stops, and more.

PLEDGE:
Beginning on Monday evening December 31, 2007, at 5:01 PST, I will attempt to ring a bell everyday at sunrise and sunset for the entire year of 2008. I invite others to join me wherever you are and post to the blog if you wish. On some occasions, I will announce ahead of time where I will be and people can join me at a particular location.
INVITATION:
To ring a bell everyday at a particular time is a commitment. I don't know if I am capable of it, but I would like to try. Please help. Find a bell that you like. Look up the times for the sunrise and sunset in your area. One of the things I am looking forward to is being directly in touch with the cycle of sunrise and sunset as it changes throughout the year. Please join me and spread the word.
