9/5/06. Bard College. Annandale-on-Hudson, NY
This was the first day of school. Raining again. I am so surprised at how many people don’t want to ring the bell. “Too busy”, “I really don’t want to”. So here I am like the Carnie Barker, yelling to people passing by. Finally I got a taker, and I am SO happy. She on the other hand is stunned. Earplugs.

brenda - i'm so glad you rang the bell near "the Toasters" - those are the dorms in the back of your photo. I lived in one of them for a year - facing where you were ringing the bell. Bet you didn't know that!!
I love the Hudson Valley....I miss summer.
And I would've DEFINITELY rang it. I don't know if it is still there...but if you had trekked more deeply into the woods, there was this little cabin of experimental musicians...you would've had to have trudged through the mud (unless they have paved it)...and then certainly they would've rang it..i mean that school is full of odd balls... (like ME!!)...but maybe it has changed...
